Look at this: intended on taking this out and either replacing with a standard mortar or a darker colour so did a little acid test on the bricks that appear darker. This photo was taken 4hrs after applying acid and washing the wall. Looks well, but unsure why applying acid would change the appearance of the mortar darker. Can anyone explain. Thanks

Yeah looks the same still will check again tomorrow morning. Either a miracle or too good to be true. Did read somewhere that acid can make light mortars darker and dark lighter but worried that in a few weeks months it'll lighten back to original tone.
