Sounds like the pump is not working. Check that the pump is getting 240 volts as it could be programmer or roomstat faulty. Hot water could be on gravity system and not need pump to work.

Check the pump speed it may be set too low, it may be worth fitting a balancing valve on the return from the cylinder, however if the heating works on heating only it should work just as well when the hot water demand is satisfied and the mid position valve returns to heating only.

Have you checked to see if there is a cylinder balancing valve.

Hi If any can help, Is it possible to dot and dab plasterboard directly onto ceramic tiles before skimming, if I can do so it will save a lot of work removing the tiles which are really well fixed (like s**t to a blanket.) It is a utility room so no shower or bath to worry about.

You can get a negative head pump which will pump into the loft. or If your mains water pressure and flow rate is good you could get a pressurized hot water cylinder and do away with your cold water tank,or fit a combi boiler to save space.
