    Terminal outlet box?

    Is a Terminal outlet box really required? My sparky suggested not having one, and given a reasonable length of cable, going straight into the cooker. Since I am having a new cooker, I will not change this for some time. Is having a Terminal outlet box a Electrical regulation? Any suggestions?

    Boxes in Breeze block

    Hi, The block depth is 100mm. The breezeblock is quite soft material, not concrete - you could easily cut out a socket with a chisel. Thanks.

    Are there any guidelines for the maximum depth of box which can be cut out of a breezeblock. I have two breeze blocks supporting part of the roof of an extension, and therefore cautious about weaking the supporting wall. I need a 35mm single lighting box cut out to 25mm. Would I be ok to do this ?
