Hi all, I got called out yesterday to Baxi Solo 3 50 PF. Water circuit and pump fine. Boiler works first time from cold but wont restart 1 minute later if switched off. If it is left running it will heat rads as per normal till preset temp is realised and wont fire up again for approx 6 hours...

Condensing is not yet compulsary in Ireland.

The thermistors range is 2.5k ohms to 14k ohms for testing . The new thermistor was just below 14k ohms.

No need to suck eggs, polarity correct, pcb correct. Thermistor resistance reading outside of ohms range. New thermistor fitted and everything working fine. Many thanks to Corgigazza and the other guys who gave constructive advice.

The following problem exists with a Vokera 16e: It wont fire at start up, pump runs, fan runs. When I remove the combustion cover it fires, runs for approx 5-10 seconds and stops firing. It repeats this process continuously while the fan continuously runs. APS tubes are fine and tight...

The APS tube that is free is about 4 inches long and just juts out straight ahead. Flue seals are fine and APS appears to switch on and off fine. I will check the continuity between elecrode tip and pcb before I purchase a new pcb (providing I can get one over here for this model GC 47 581...

Its 4 years old. The installer was the Irish equivalent of CORGI, Bord Gais approved. One of the APS tubes does not connect to anything at one end. Is this the norm for this model.

I have a problem with a Ravenheat primary condensing boiler that fires and stops repeatedly every 5 seconds or so. Has anyone encountered this problem before.
