Hello johnny.. the way I checked the switch was by connecting the starter connection to a 12v bulb, and watched it as i turned the key loads of times and it went out quick enough... not sure if there's a more reliable way. hello neo, It's an X reg. clio

hello all.. I had a problem with the starter with a delay (about a second) in disengaging from the flywheel ring gear. Lubricated the pinion as suggested, but it still occasionally still does it. Is a new starter motor needed before it knacks up the ring gear?

Not sure if i've already asked this but!... iv'e got a post that's broken and exposed a re-inforcing steel bar. can i patch this somehow, or wil i have to dig the whole post out in the future? cant' get image onto the post! can anyone tell me how to do that?

hello all, i've got a problem with the plastic/rubber trim coming away at the top of the windscreen. can i just use that araldyte, or is there any special glue for that type of job?

If your happy to get the builders back can you get them to mend it? (they may have done it) not sure about welding lead though. i'm no expert but if you feel competent tackling it and for peace of mind you might be better off biting the bullet and replacing it.

if the chem. fails to work would it be easy to replace the flags?

I have seen ariel riggers and other roofers go on the neighbours roofs with no roof ladders and when i asked one of them they said that they'd break more tiles with a roof ladder. are they lying cos theyre too lazy to use them and should i use roof ladders? btw, these are hardrow tiles...

I have looked at masonary drills to drill a hole for a 15mm water pipe. the hole needs to go through a cavity wall. is there any way of eliminating/reducing the "exit wound" on the inside of the bricks? secondly, the waste pipe for the kitchen sink has black mould forming in a ring around...

some of the concrete has came off the surface (about 10cm square), exposing the metal reinforcing bars dur to them rusting. can this be repaired without the job of replacing the post?

hello all.. there's no mention on road wheel bolts in the manual. I got a flat the other day and despite torqing them down a year ago i had a hell of a job getting them undone, and bent the wheel brace in the process.

Someone has told me it's ok to put grease Road wheel bolts on my x reg. mark2 clio, to help prevent them seizing on Is this some daft joke to make my wheels come off?

Hello, apologies in advance for the non-technical terms... I have a problem with a main drain trap's bypass plug, in the final chamber before the main sewer. The drain is about 40yo. and plug is ceramic and it appears to have origionally been fitted by having a tar type seal to hold it in...
