    Stiff, squeaky tap

Hi doitall, I was hoping to avoid that option. I bought it online and it took weeks for it to be delivered, then it was the wrong one, etc etc. Kind of gave up on dealing with them after all that. Any ideas for a quickish fix? Cheers

    Stiff, squeaky tap

Hi, I fitted a small mono basin mixer tap a few months ago. It is now becoming increasingly stiffer to turn on and off (this is done by tilting the lever up and down). It is much the same whether in the hot, cold or in between position. It is not so stiff when rotating the lever for the...

    Flexible tap connector leak

Thanks guys, I've followed the tips from both of you: - I applied some Fernox LSX - and I made a point of not over-tightening this time. Just did it about an hour ago and it's looking good. Much appreciated. All the best!

    Flexible tap connector leak

Hi all, Just installed a new bath. Before installing I fitted flexible tap connectors to the taps to ensure a good tight connection (or so I thought!). I noticed one had a rubber washer and the other a fibre washer. I connected these to the copper pipes via isolation valves. After turning...

    'Thump' when turning off taps

Whenever I turn off taps (hot or cold), a single thump on the plumbing can be heard. It sounds just like a bang on the pipework. This occurs both upstairs and down at sinks, bath, shower, etc. It is also noticeable when the toilet cistern has filled & when the washing machine is running...

Vokera Linea 28 Error Code 04

Many thanks for your reply Tony. No, I did act on rob's advice. I located what I believe is the boiler flow switch with the aid of the manual and rob's directions. It's located on a block at the bottom right hand side of the pump. When I first checked it (visually) I think I wrongly assumed...

Vokera Linea 28 Error Code 04

Sincere apologies for my lack of replies to those who kindly responded to my plea for help a few weeks ago (my pc did an impression of my boiler then packed up altogether). Fortunately Santa brought me a new pc :D but sadly not a new boiler. :( As is often the case, the boiler settled...

Vokera Linea 28 Error Code 04

Cheers rob. If you mean the reset switch, I think its ok as it does turn the unit off. When I switch it back on it tends to run ok for a few seconds before locking out and showing the error code.

Vokera Linea 28 Error Code 04

Please help! I have a Vokera Linea 28 boiler installed by a Corgi engineer in 1999 and regularly serviced. There has been an ongoing problem since it was about 18 months old which is becoming steadily worse and more frequent. Several attempts to rectify on numerous occasions by 3...
