Hello all New build: there is a gap along the entire length of the patio door sill - about 5mm, below the door frame. I know that there are slots on the top surface of the frame for water run-off, but is this long gap necessary / correct? Thank you

Thank you all. It still seems very murky and it be easier not to buy the property. I know that someone said there might be a clean cable route out from the CU. I attach a plan of the house. The cloakroom is tiled so routing through the room is not desireable.

….thank you! Do the regs state that’s it needs to be connected back to the CU? The issue to me would be that the CU is in the middle of the house and getting the cable outside would be messy and the cable would be visible in the living room or hallway

Hi all. I’m moving into a new Bellway house. Can a car charger be connected directly to the meter on the outside wall or would it have to be connected to the CU located in the middle of the house? There are many conflicting opinions.

Am I missing something? Inside: stopcock-type tap then straight pipe to outside tap. I took the top part off the tap and still no water. Could there be anything in between the stopcock and the tap? It used to work. The house <2years old. See pic

Hi all. This is leaking from behind the ‘tap’ shown above. It leaks in front and behind the plate. The tap will not pull in front of the brass fitting so I am guessing the tap was added before the brass part. Is there any way to get the brass spindle off so I can see if anything can be...
