    Lintel?

The second drawing shows the top down view of the route of the pipe from the wood burner in black pen. The other pipe route drawn in pencil is an alternative route but adds another offset which I'm trying to avoid. I'm not sure what you mean by a retaining lintel?

    Lintel?

Hi all, I am planning to cut a hole in an internal load bearing wall to pass a new 8 inch (external) twin wall chimney flue through. I am passing this through on a 45 degree angle (both vertical and horizontal) and this is below a joist that has a small masonry wall above. I am thinking I...

    Floor joist in the way

Hi all, I am trying to plan the route for a twin wall flue (for a woodburner) through my house. I have taken measurements, inspected under floorboards and have planned my desired route. The problem is I need to pass between 2 joists that are only 260mm apart. This doesn't give me enough...

    Induction hob pulsating?

We recently bought a Fagor IFF-4R hob and are experiencing a weird situation. When running the front and back zones together (left or right), they seem to cycle in turn eg front pan has heat for about 1 second then stops then back pan on 1 second then front etc. This means you cant maintain a...

No earth bonding to gas pipe

Firstly, thanks for the reply. Secondly, apologies for the extra info, I thought of it 6 minutes after my initial post and did check I hadn't already had a reply so as to mess people about. We obviously posted at the same time. The property is only 11 years old and I am pretty sure the...

No earth bonding to gas pipe

Hi all, I am fitting a new kitchen and I'm having a new 10mm circuit to the new cooker/hob. This is going to replace the 6mm that is currently there and the MCB changed to a 40A one. My electrician checked for earth bonding and although the water is bonded the gas is not. Can someone please...

Cooker and induction hob on one circuit?

Thanks for everyone's input on this, really appreciated. I am going to get a sparky in to give me a quote to run a new length of 10mm and replace the MCB. One question, would it be possible to run the new length of cable on the exterior wall between the two points in conduit? This is probably...

Cooker and induction hob on one circuit?

BAS - Sorry, I understood your statement I just wondered what you were basing your statement on ie. personal experience, customer experience, Professional reviews etc. Are you also taking into account that I'm talking about an Induction hob and not a standard ceramic hob. I have read close to...

Cooker and induction hob on one circuit?

The hob in question does not have a boost function in it's list of features. It does have fan cooling though. I'm not sure of the path from the CU to the current hook up point. It is currently sited on an internal wall and I would like it relocated to the opposite wall (external). The run...
