I will try turning the working rads off tomorrow. It just seems strange that the rads furthest from the bolier began to cool first even upstairs. The two that are left working are the nearest to the boiler.

Hi Guys, For info, actual problem was a blocked DHW Heat Exchanger. Boiler heated up to max temp very quickly and the flame modulating was not enough to prevent the boiler overheating, hence it would cut out for a several seconds.

The DHW stat still controls the temp of the hot water.
