I put my problem on the TT forum and had a few replies ,they all said they had the same problem at some time,the roof has some sort of drainage pipes in each corner and apparently they block really easly so i hope thats all it is.

Yes it does show different countries and different wiring diagrammes, i`ve now put the live to point 1 and then i`ve put a link from 1 to point 2 and then from point 2 to point 3 and the hob now seems to be working fine,well nothings gone bang yet!, does anyone no if this is ok?? cheers

Yeah thats what i was thinking ,maybe i need 1 live to power the hob and the others to power the rings??

Yes i did ,after ordering it last tuesday it came by thursday so really quick delivery and it looks really nice ,all 4 edges are polished so i`ve even managed to put in a island unit with hob and no need to polish anything,the wifes happy with it,hopefully i can keep her in the kitchen a bit...

Changed my mind and went for the granite worktop in the end and glad i did ,just incase anyone out there is interested in fitting granite worktops then all i can say is go for it, its so easy to cut all you need is a diamond tip cutting disc B&Q £10 and a angle grinder, it will take you a day...

Thanks for that mate but i wont need to cut the polished edges as they come in metre lenghs so all i need to do is join them together i think, all i need to know is how hard it is to cut out a round hole for the sink and a hole for the tapes, its only 12mm thick so im thinking it cant be that...

Thanks for that ttc i understand now, im going to fit the kitchen myself and get a electrician in to do the wiring as i understand i cant do it myself but i thought i could route the cable for the hob myself and let him connect it for me to save some money ,but wanted some advice first because...

So as long as the hob is not more than 2 metres from the switch then thats ok ,it wont be a problem with the cable being longer than 2 metres will it :?: , my kitchen units are like a U shape with the switch and junction box at one end of the U and the hob at the other end of the U and the 6mm...

Is it the oven and hob cant be more than 2 metres away from the switch or is it the cable cant be more than 2 metres long?

I have a cooker isolation switch on the wall then under that i have the junction box where my old cooker is connected to at the moment so im thinking the easy way would be to connect both the cooker and the hob to that junction box but then run the 6mm cable posibly armcore cable around the back...
