    incoming supply (pic)

Just established, Benville and Marsh are responsible for this. They added the SP isolator or had the DNO add it when called by customer a few years ago to relocate a CU. I was dubious about the meter tail lengths at first, but having heard who is responsible for this, I rest my case...(although...

will this panel heater be enough heat?

oooh ive seen one of these in a friends conservatory, very powerful. struggles to keeep the whole room at the desired temperature during winter, but believe me you, for a poorly built/leaking conservatory with dimensions 6m x 8m, it performs very well. I think it will cope well in your room. Be...

A very common sight in India where electricians work practically without basic safety gear while trying to rectify a problem. Notice the bare feet and rope tied around his waist!!!!

    Is leaking toilet safe?

right... Firstly try and tighten the nut, see if the leak stops..if not then listen on.. you need to listen to welshman, close off the supply from the service valve in the picture. Check the fibre washer and the state it is in. If none is present, then u need to head to a plumbers merchant...

S Electric, EDF...what are their policies??

see, this is one thing i don't understand about southern electric, they always seem to send me around the bend!! the rep on the phone told me any suitably qualified spark can remove and replace the seal, and doesn't have to be carried out by one of their own engineers. She also stated that the...

S Electric, EDF...what are their policies??

Just an update for those that are concerned... Southern Region (Berkshire) EDF - DO NOT send out engineers for installs of Isolation Switches. They will charge £55 for an engineer to pop over in the morning, remove the seal and disconnect the supply, and then return the same evening to...
