    Plasterboard

You should use proper plaster board adhesive which come as a big sack of powder for about £5 - they don't seem to sell it in most diy stores though, only b&poo warehouses or builders merchants.

    Bathroom wiring questions

Ok, a few probably dumb questions, but its always the simple stuff that isn't explained properly anywhere, and I wanna make sure I get things right. 1 - Earth Bonding So far I've bonded all radiators and pipework together... How do I link to the main earth for the house? Do I connect the...

    Pressure Washer Recommendation

I think the cheepo B&Poo ones might be made by Karcher - Saw a pallet of them wrapped in plastic with a Karcher barcode sticker on it. I got the £40 power devil one from Argos, not tried it yet, but you get a good selection of tools with it, the likes of which Karcher charge £20 each for. The...

    Some daft questions...

No, they only dim a little - what causes it though? Its like the supply to the house can't handle the extra power? They brighten up again when turning it off. It has always done it though, with the old and new showers, upstairs and downstairs. Not had any problems, it just looks a bit dodgy...

    Some daft questions...

The lights in our house always dim when turning on either of the showers. Is this normal or does it indicate a problem? The wiring is mid 70s and the fuse box is a modern looking one with RCD and MCBs. Also... Is it "safe" to test an electric screwdriver thingy on a real live wire, to make...

    Electrocuted... :)

...While working on the lighting in my bathroom... I switched off the power to the upstairs lighting circuit, checked that none of the lights were working, tested the live wire, then got stuck in unravelling what seems to be the central junction area for all the upstairs lighting, which was...

    combining switched lives?

Ah right, I get it now, getting confused between poles, gangs and ways. Not sure if you can get a double pole double light switch though? So I'll probably just connect the fan to one of the lights...

    combining switched lives?

I'm not sure... I have a double switch which controls two seperate sets of lights in the bathroom - I wanted the fan to come on when either of these lights is switched on, but I'm not sure if this is possible? I can switch the fan off completely if necessary using the switched FCU.

    combining switched lives?

Just rewiring my bathroom atm, I have two sets of lights on seperate switches, and a timed extractor fan which will be connected via a fcu from the lighting circuit, and the switched live from the light switch. What I wanted to know was whether there is any way of combining the two switched...
