    on a backboiler system with a hot water tank in airing cupboard, is the same tank used also as an immersion? just found switch that we didnt know existed which powers a supply next to the cylinder

    larger tank has hot water and looks like largeheating coil inside and is fed from a smaller cold tank attached wich is fed from the rising main{i think} this is where i took my connection to shower from the main 15mm pipe that fills the small cold tank.

    have a large square tank of hot water with a small cold water tank on side, i teed off the cold pipe feeding the smaller cold tank. now when using shower overflow runs and pours outside is this a simple prob or have i done something stupid?

    just replaced a electric shower like for like at home, but had to redo pipework and come down from ceiling, so put a t con into rising main that fills the small header tank in loft. problem is everytime any1 showers, water pours from the overflow which happens to fall right over back door...

    not sure where the shower is fed from however the previous shower ran fine for a coupl years so would assume water pressure was ok. I did check stop cock was fully open. engineer did say he was getting a larger shower head sent out?

    never saw the mf info but the mcb remained at 40a and the cable at 6mm however the cable is pretty much a straight run approx 5 -6 metres and clipped most of the way
