    UFH - Overlay/Retrofit

I am thinking of doing similar have you found a good supplier yet? I have wet UFH in my extension but now I am renovating the older side of the house I want to add a retrofit system in. There isn't much info out there on it and how well it performs. I think I may just go with the same brand i...

Maybe if we just knock that wall down.

You usually drop a screed floor over the insulation to bring you up to floor height especially if your using UFH. If your family member had a concrete floor with no insulation its going to be a expensive room to heat!!! trust me I have half stone built house and half new build the stone side...

Pellet Boiler Installed and happy to help anyone thinking of having one.

Call them I don't receive any benefits, its not a government scheme its a RHI payment scheme so unless your house wont meet the EPC I cant see why they wouldn't do it.

They are called Fusion Energy, they did everything but the radiators for me BUT that's as I already had them. At the time they would fit the whole system if you didn't have one but I cant tell you what they do now sorry.

Pellet Boiler Installed and happy to help anyone thinking of having one.

No catch with the company I used all above board and explained what I was signing up for. They take all of the RHI payment so it covers their cost to install and you get a system installed for free. The only cost is the annual maintenance which is done via their company but this keeps it in...

Hotwater Pressure On mains pressure system

The mixing valve is on the hot outlet yes I will try and get some time at the weekend to get some measurements. Having looked closer at my cold feed I think my problem lies in the fact that the older part of the house where the pipe enters is 15mm and 22mm has been put in to distribute to the...

Pellet Boiler Installed and happy to help anyone thinking of having one.

Hi Phil, a 975kg pallet of pellets can be anywhere between £200 and £350 depending on where and when you buy them, I personally budget approx £260 per pallet delivered. I use bagged pellets but you can get them cheaper if you have a blown delivery when you have a big hopper.

Hotwater Pressure On mains pressure system

Hi all looking to get my hot water pressure up slightly as the shower is a bit useless and also the pressure from the hot tap isn't great. So my system Main cold water pressure is great no issues we had to reduce the pressure as it caused washers to fail so often. Mains water comes into...

Just a update, nearly 2 years on boiler going strong still and I can highly recommend one our heating cost is still about half of what it was on LPG. The past 3 months have been challenging with the European pellet shortage but I have made it through even if it cost me a few hundred pounds...

    Bike storage in front garden

Yeh a shed maybe vulnerable in that position as its going to contain bikes I would be wary. How about building a bin store/storage with brick and wooden door and decent locks? You may need planning for that but you wouldnt have the bins blowing off in the wind then either and your neighbour may...

    Help with kitchen tiles

To be honest its your own personal preference have you got some samples and tried them? If that was mine I would leave it as it is and just change out the sockets to be brushed chrome to match your appliances. I think if you really want a tile and as its a modern kitchen you need a modern tile...
