Fixing large mirror to chipboard using Adhesive.

I am removing wardrobe doors, each being 400mm x 2400mm. The plan is to fix 3mm glass sheets to the front of each. Weight is not a problem as each door has four sturdy hinges. However, I don't really want to see any signs of a physical fixing and so would like to use an adhesive. The doors...

    Underfloor insualtion for heating

Had a read, thanks. However, still need to heat it for occasional use as a room you can only use 6 months of the year is useless - so the question remains the same as in my original post. Reccomend or suggest what specification I should be looking for. Can only go to 10-12mm as the...

    Underfloor insualtion for heating

Hi Guys, Looking to lay underfloor heating (EcoFilm) in my conservatory. I need 10mm insulation to go down onto the concrete first. I get the feeling the insulation they are selling with the system is overpriced and actually any good thermal insualtion will do. Anyone know what I...

Open radiator - airing cupboard or hallway.

Thanks GasMan. By leaving the airing cupboard on will surely mean that it will continue to heat up and result in a waste of energy (two open rads)? or, is it that systems will favour any other 'open' radiator before that one? Thanks.

Open radiator - airing cupboard or hallway.

I have an Oil fired combi and with the massive rises am looking to save cash - always foccusses the mind eh! As a result I have turned down radiators in the rooms least used. Fitted a wireless stat in the downstairs hallway, was in the dining room that we never use and thus now have the...

Based on the advice above ask them to fit cavity trays even if you have to pay more, it seems logical now to me. Oh well live and learn...

    External wall of conservatory sodden!

what would you reccomend as a coating? something that wouldn't have to be re-applied that oftent would be best. Also, presumably I wouldn't have to do the complete rear wall, perhaps only up to the down pipe as seen in the above picture? Also, I think I would need some scaff put up over...

    External wall of conservatory sodden!

noseall, thanks for your reply really appreciated and it makes sense, just surprising that this is the first time in two years that we have come across this. So the question is how much of a pain (and therefore cost) would it be to retrofit cavity trays? I assume the roof, and flashing would...

    External wall of conservatory sodden!

It's all started to dry out but you can clearly see about the door that the first course of bricks now appear dry and then further up they are wet looking. Just after the rain all bricks were wet and water was dripping from the door frame. The wet 'line' is consistant across the entire width of...

    External wall of conservatory sodden!

Hi guys, first post so go easy... After all the rain this weekend I discovered a pool of water out on conservatory floor. It seems that the 'original' exterior wall of the conservatory is soaked, you can even see the water line coming down the wall. Dripping has occured from above the door...
