    Pump for Electric Shower

Thanks for the info. So, is she out of options? Is her only option a proper power shower? :(

    Pump for Electric Shower

Excuse the stupid question, but what do you mean by a better performance? What my friend needs is more power to get through the dog hair for rinsing soap away. Would a larger wattage help with that do you think?

    Pump for Electric Shower

Thanks guys! I've checked this one is 8.5kw. I'm not sure how increasing the rating kw will increase the pressure though?

    Pump for Electric Shower

Hi all My mate owns a dog grooming salon (not a good start I know!) She's got an electric shower (Creda aquablue) plumbed into the mains for washing the dogs. The problem is that the pressure isn't really good enough to wash the big dogs with thick hair. Is there any way of improving...

    Mixer Shower - airlock?

    Mixer Shower - airlock?

Thanks seco. I don't think there are any isolation taps/valves. I thought of trying to switch them off and on but couldn't find any. He's just simply taken the old mixer off and put the new one on. Could I loosen the nut that's showing just enough to let the air out, like bleeding a...

    Mixer Shower - airlock?

We had it fitted last week. I didn't want to say anything bad about plumbers, but we've been trying to ring the guy who did it but he's not answering his phone... I'm reasonably handy so I was thinking it might be easier if there was something I could do.

    Mixer Shower - airlock?

There's no pump. I've checked all the other hots and colds around the house and they're fine.

    Mixer Shower - airlock?

HI everyone! I've got a mixer shower (like a horizontal bar). No matter what I do with the temperature control I only get hot water coming through, and that's pretty slow on its own. Someone suggested I turn off the water to see if that makes a difference, but it didn't - so I think the...

Anyone got any ideas why my shower pressure is rubbish?

I think I've got airlock in my mixer shower. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it? (I'm only getting hot water coming through.) :( Thanks.

    Three questions...

I'm not sure this wall is actually plasterboard, it just looks like what I'd call plasterboard. It is a bit odd because of the card behind it. As suggested, I tried knocking some copper pipe up through the cardboard, but there was a plastic bracket there which was hiding an electrical cable...

    Three questions...

Believe me Tony, I know plumbers are skilled workers. There's more to plumbing than joining pipes together like lego. I think their reputation is going up anyway, since they're able to charge decent prices for sticking their heads down other people's toilets!

    Three questions...

Thanks for your advice. I'll have another go tomorrow. :D

    Three questions...

Are you saying I can't fit a shower to a plasterboard wall? It's tiled, so I'm sure it should be strong enough. Do you know how to run the pipes behind the plasterboard, when it's got dozens of sheets of cardboard running across?

    Three questions...

I'm a DIY'er so please be gentle with me. Plasterboard question... 1) I thought I was going to fit my mixer shower today. I took the hot and cold pipes from the sink and intended to run them under the shower tray and up behind the plasterboard wall. When I put a hole in the plasterboard...

    Odd bathroom sink..?

For the record: I got the blasted thing on. It was the wrong fitting, in that it was the wrong length, and I know you're not supposed to bend flexi's too much, but I looped the thing round and it went on, unbelievably, without leaking. I now consider myself an expert plumber.

    Odd bathroom sink..?

It's the B&Q Select Winchester Bath Suite. You'd think you'd get something more standard at B&Q. Anyway, I'll go in and ask them if I can't fathom it out. Cheers.

    Odd bathroom sink..?

The flexi thing goes over the 3/4"(?) threads, then the tap connectors I've got go onto the threads afterwards. What worries me is that the flexi just seems to slide on without anything to seal it. Cheers.

    Odd bathroom sink..?

You've upset me now  <kidding> It must work I suppose. It'll be the old trusty trial and error and a few towels then! Thanks anyway fellas.

    Odd bathroom sink..?

I had to look up "uber" , but are there any uber-plumbers who've fitted one of these? I just can't see how it can be water-tight.
