I've started using satinwood but am thinking maybe I should have gone with gloss? What do most people use? Is high gloss on the skirting boards a bit much, or does it look nice?

Hi, I'd like to paint over a wall which had been done in silk using the same colour in soft sheen. Can anyone tell me if this is definitely ok? or will the newly applied soft sheen crack or blister or do something bad? thanks for any help!
