    removing internal wall

Thanks Noseall, Is there a way that I could tell if the wall is supporting or not? There is no wall above it upstairs and it runs in line with the joists. The floor height should not be a problem as I want to put back in a 900mm high wall in its place so that worktop can go over the top...

    automatic bypass

What should the setting be on the automatic bypass? Some of the radiators downstairs do not get hot at the bottom even though both valves are fully open. The bypass is set at 0.1 and goes to 0.5 bar, the setting seem very low and turning it up to 0.3 bar does seem to resolve the problem.

    Conservatoy as utility room

The wall at the front will be 1000mm high not 600mm. The space will have 3 walls with no glazing only a door from the kitchen and the garage, so there will still be plenty of wall space. Is there a minimum amount of glazing I should have in this front wall. It is planed to have a 1250mm wide...

    heating advice

Thanks for the advice. I just would like to know what is more important, how well the boiler is installed or the make. I have had a plumber highly recommended by friends, however he will only install certain boilers and has recommended a Potterton Promax SL. The other plumber will fit what I...

    heating advice

Thanks Tony, My thoughts were to stick with just replacing the boiler and tank. I was also told that TRVs need to be fitted to the bedroom radiator to bring the system up to spec. However it was recommended that the kitchen and utility room radiators have one fitted as these rooms don’t need...
