I am about to tile my shower room but the main back wall is uneven on the bottom left running down to the shower tray and runs in leaving an gap. (It is an 1870s cottage). How am I best levelling the wall here to seal with silicone then tile and silicone again?

Would the combustion box door seal perishing cause water to leak? my potterton promax tripped out over the weekend and then on pressing the reset button it fired up and worked again ok. But last night i noticed that water had now started to leak from the boiler. Any advice/help before...
