New(ish) Ideal Standard 'Traditional' basin tap now stiff

Hi, I fitted the taps about 18 months ago and the cold tap (which is used far more frequently) has become very stiff to turn. I have not had a tap apart before and am seeking suggestions for possible causes and instructions for repair (inc tools required etc). Thanks and sorry if this is a...

Damp in a dry-lined basement flat

Thanks guys, I'm beginning to get the impression that I would need to read up a lot before attempting the tanking (if necessary) myself - maybe even go on a course - perhaps if the labour is into the thousands it would be worth it.

How do I replace a suspended ceiling in basement flat?

Great, thanks - I had imagined having to fashion a sliver of wood all along the joist - just raising at fixings sounds much easier.

How do I replace a suspended ceiling in basement flat?

Hi, I am after instructions on how to replace a suspended ceiling in a basement flat (square panel type found in offices) I would like to remove all the tin frame work holding the suspended ceiling and nail plasterboard directly onto the joists. I'm guessing the suspended ceiling was put in as...
