The hot water comes of the top of the cylinder. The up pipe is 15mm and the down pipe is 22mm. The hot for the shower is on the 22mm pipe.

It sounds to me like the water is boiling somewhere in the airing cupboard. I hear alot of are and water going throught the pipes.

The pump in the aring cupboard works fine. I can hear it pumping water.

Oh, and it`s a baxi boiler and it`s just overheated.

When i moved in my new house. All of the radiators had a temprature valve on them and water used to bang like hell up the pipes and into the overflow system. I have removed one of the radiators and replace it with one with no temprature valve on it so the water could return round one of them...

well it didn`t overheat this time, but i could hear the water boiling in the pipes and venting into the loft, but it`s only a matter of time. Does it really matter what setting i have the pump on. 1. 2. or 3 ?

The first few times when starting the boiler, it does not overheat. So everything must be working or it would overheat first time wouldn`t it ?
