When it comes to electrics i have not got a clue, but i wanted to just fit new cable on them as they were perished and to short, then i was going to get an electrican to fit them for me i thought if i did this bit myself i could keep the cost down.

Hi all I am about to insulate my fish house that is a single skinned breeze block building , would it be best to screw / nail /glue the kingspan 40mm sheets directly to the wall and then spot and dabbing plasterboard over the kingspan sheets or do you have to put up battens and insulate...

Joists are only 4x2 at present. Height is not a problem well over 6 ft even if we add another 4 inches. Its the trusses that concern me as there are only 2 within the whole roof. lenght of roof is approx 26ft.

How can you tell if my loft is suitable for conversion. Without getting a professional in. My loft only has 2 A-shaped trusses that hold up the roof.

Thxs masona The size of my roof is 3mx3m , so i only need to put 1 row of noggins in then masona.

Just put my joists on for the flat roof shed i am doing but now i have to put my noggins in , the question is how far apart do they need to be and the joist are 6"x2" so do the noggins need to be 6" depth as well or could i put 2x2 between the joists.

And dont apply the cement to thick with mosaics .

Has anyone advertised in the yellow pages and if so how much was it ?

I ripped my tiles off and made good where the plaster came off, going over the old tiled wall with a skim of plaster.
