Yep that be them. I took the 5A that i'd blown into the Electrical Wholesalers and the boy behind the counter gave me fuses for a plug!!!!!!

Was only a passing thought as I had a nightmare getting new fuses. Thought it might save me some effort in the long run.

Hi, Just a quick one.... I have an old MEM fuse box in my house, that I know to be about 26 years old. The fuses look a bit like the ones you find in 13A plugs, and clip into a carrier which then clips into the fuse box. Is it possible to change the fuse carries for something...

Probably not much help to you, but I experienced this in a Ford Fiesta many years ago. I didn't crash, luckily I took my foot off the pedal and pushed it again and stopped....... There must be other cases like this??

Just a quick one. I read that your supposed to mount a consumer unit on a board, which I understand. If your putting a CU in a garage, are you allowed to attach the CU directly to the wall???

Plugged my kettle in to the socket so it takes a standard plug. The earths on the back of the socket are actually connected together, so I assume i'd connect the T&E to one, then connect the other to the back box??? Can't see a part number on it i'm afraid, but it is stamped MK on the front!
