    Is verbal planning permission legal?

Strange lack of response! Is this how it is done now in this apology for a country? Must be careful in future not to step on anyone's toes. May upset the equilibrium.

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

I think I have discovered what happens when something changes and no planning permission can be found. I assumed this to be due a verbal 'nod' but it has a nastier smell than that as it seems large landowners and builders use it with relative impunity. Here is the scenario :- 1. No permission...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

Thanks, I never knew that. Does seem odd though that verbal abuse and tossing rude written notes at someone are one and the same and writing a letter is verbal communication. It seems Collins Dict hold a different view :- 1. adjective [usually ADJECTIVE noun] You use verbal to indicate that...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

As I think I have already said several times the bloke next door has gone ahead with many changes which we were verbally refused permission for and NYM have simply ignored my emails and phone calls to planning and refused me an 'interview'. I am about to put in a formal complaint and seek a...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

Thank you all for your input. The best answer so far is from another forum :- " David, I would suspect what may have happened is that they may have sought pre planning application advice from the relevant council (assuming this is a service that they provide) hence the exchange of letters and...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

As I indicated, our building inot itself listed but is in the curtilage of a grade 2 listed farmhouse - the farm buildings around the courtyard were turned into housing. The insides can be altered but the exteriors supposedly cannot. The 'original' external fabric in this case is what the...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

The major problem with 'verbal' planning is that the only person to see the document is the applicant. I have asked NYM for a copy of the documents but they refused! Life is too short to involve solicitors etc but I would very much like to know how to legally get these copies without formally...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

As I indicated earlier, these 'verbal' arrangements are made via phone and the applicant then receives a letter giving the 'proof'. This whole verbal thing stinks and explains the plastic windows in the house across the road which remains invulnerable whereas an old lady further down the road...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

Very interesting but this 'verbal permission' is backed up by a bit of paper yet walks over the the democratic process by denying the surrounding owners the right to object. This immediately raises the possibility of a backhander which is not supposed to exist in our country. I should prefer to...

    Is verbal planning permission legal?

We live 'in the curtilage of 'a listed farmhouse courtyard development' building in the curtilage of North York Moors planning. Our new neighbour arrived saying he had permission for a number of things such as a new paint scheme, new doors, window, gas flu near roof ridge, garage doors and an...

    Preesure drop

Thanks. I had my suspicions about the expansion chamber. I got the same guy (Worcester-Bosch) back again after the service because it wasn't happening before and he claimed the boiler was A1. What, apart from the boiler can cause this discrepency? Thanks

    Preesure drop

I have a Worcester greenstar CDI 42 combi boiler. It was just been serviced 2 weeks ago and is one year old. I am getting a .75 bar drop in pressure between hot (88C) and cool (48C). Is this normal (acceptable) because I do not remember this happening prior to the service? Thanks

    Worcester 42CDI problem

Gasguru, the 5 mbar drop concerned us all. The 'transo' guy muttered something about the meter being inadequate and when I suggested moving it to just outside the kitchen/boiler area was a possible solution he looked a little shocked and said the piping (28mm) was more than adequate and that it...

    Worcester 42CDI problem

That was with everything going full blast! However, I phoned Powergen (eon) and told them we were short on flow. An hour later a 'Transco' (not transco now but I can't remember what they call themselves) type appeared. He measured a WP of 19 (after turning up the valve to max) and announced...

Vaillant 937 versus 42 Cdi versus Megaflow ---Pls Help...

Simon, I am aware of this. I must have a duff Corgi installer beacause it seems the only way he could test the supply was to hook it up to the 42Cdi and see what happened. Should I be asking him some specific questions? If so, what? Thanks

Vaillant 937 versus 42 Cdi versus Megaflow ---Pls Help...

I should be very wary of the 42CDI (see my post Worcester 42CDI problem). Before buying mine I spoke with Worcester technical support because I required a wall mounted boiler of similar performance to my Greenstar 400. They recommended the 42CDi. When I told them that the 400 was giving a...

    Worcester 42CDI problem

Thanks Tony, we'll know that on Monday morning. However, if it turns out there is a difference of over 1-2 mbar it would be helpful to know the answers to my questions a) and b) because if it is considered that taking 28mm into the meter and disconnecting the 22mm from the meter would make no...

    Worcester 42CDI problem

Further to my last questions (answers would be appreciated) the outlet in my meter is actually 28mm. The 22mm is joined to that then the 28mm supply to my boiler.

    Worcester 42CDI problem

He didn't test at the meter last night because it was dark. He will do that on Monday. Thanks, there a couple of things that appear odd to me and that maybe could affect the WP difference :- a) the 28mm pipe is connected to the meter by a short length of 22mm pipe and the flexible hose in...
