Is this acceptable for a kitchen waste pipe

Many thanks for all your comments. I had asked for the Arco drainage as my garden slopes up from the house. Didn't realise the builder would use it for the kitchen pipe. I'll follow up with the builder first and then the building regs officer if required.

Is this acceptable for a kitchen waste pipe

Yes my thoughts were come summer time anything from the sink could stick in the Arco and smell!

Is this acceptable for a kitchen waste pipe

My understanding is it's connected to a pipe running under the garden.

Is this acceptable for a kitchen waste pipe

My builder has just finished an extension for me and generally made a very good job. However i've noticed the kitchen sink waste pipe empities directly into some Arco type drainage fitted along the property. Usually Arco drains are surface water but I guess it could be connected to the main...

    LED Light switch on problem

Back again after a trip to replace lamps and lights at IKIA. (Had the same batch of lights but no concerns from other purchasers!) Refit and switched on (Using std switch) only 1 came on again! Switched off and back on ~ both on. Just decided to wire the timer back in again and getting mixed...

    LED Light switch on problem

Hi, thanks again for the replies. regarding the timer, it's just a standard dial / peg unit. I don't think it's the timer as I put the lights on a standard switch and it did the same. (Intermittent on/off lamps). What I would say is that when switching the lights on they / one might initially...

    LED Light switch on problem

Hi John, thanks for your feedback. The lamps are 220~240v 50/60Hz 6.3W Ikea LED GX53. Mounted in a Haggum recessed spotlight. I'll try exchanging them (lamps & fittings). Just a bit of a hike to the shop.

    LED Light switch on problem

Many thanks again. As the standard fittings work fine I would like to think it was the Ikea fittings. I will look into replacement and see if that sorts out the problem. Maybe I should look at another supplier! Thanks again.

    LED Light switch on problem

Thanks for the feedback. The LED fittings are mains supply. Not sure if the fittings have anything built in, they don't appear to have. Thanks CML.

    LED Light switch on problem

I recently installed two LED lights to a garden building using a timer switch for on/off. Unfortunately one / both often don't come on using the timer. I changed the timer to a switch and found even the switch is intermittent on initial switch on. I've tried standard light fittings which work...

    Vibrating Boiler

I've recently had a new Baxi Duo-tech Combi 40HE boiler installed. It replaced a conventional boiler 18 years old. The problem is the new boiler intermittently sounds like a wagon is parked outside and gives off a low vibration sound which is annoying. Added to this the flue outside sounds the...
