I bought some 3/4" "Bath" tap revivers from Screwfix, went to fit them, but although they went on, the seat was too deep, so they didn't stop the water. The photo shows (from l-r) old bath tap, new screwfix reviver, and old sink tap I used them for the sink taps and they fitted/worked...

Thanks - there is a vent in the kitchen, it was the "damp" air that will be trapped behind the cupboards I was slightly concerned about - I've whacked a coat of gloss on the back of the hardboard though, hopefully that'll help something! Now I just have to decide whether to put the floor down...

The motorised valve on the boiler isn't operating, I've had the multimeter out, and come to the conclusion it's the cylinder thermostat that has "deceased", but I'm having problems finding a replacement online... so i'd appreciate any assistance anyone can give! It is a Worcester Delglo 3 gas...
