    I tried adjusting the cam roller but it was already on the max height - eventually had to adjust the main hinges - took the door up a few mm in height and locks perfectly now with no force.

    Hi all, we have a upvc front door that is hard to lock. when the handle is turned up to engage to hooks and bolts it takes a few goes and a bit of force before I can then turn the key in the lock. when the door is open and the handle is turned up all works ok and door key will tun no problem...

    Hi, I have a new oak veneer door which I have varnished but its turned out no where near the colour of the other older oak doors which are more of a golden/orange colour. Can I apply couple of coats of a coloured varnish or stain to get it near and then varnish over this.

    I presume it being pine and a fire surround that the knots are going to weep so I was going to have to treat them with knotting anyway so would treating it all effect the wax coats going on after using fiddes ruggarbrown. Or would it be best just to wax it all no sealer no knotting?
