Can anyone give advice on how to get the catch to hold when I close my bonnet. Opened it using the lever in the passenger footwell, to fill the water bottle, now it won't close, just keeps pinging open, spayed WD40 into the catch but still no joy. Thanks

Feel under the plate where the cable goes to the release(under the bonnet) and you should find a thick wire-like piece, this is the release, push it until you can see it in the hole and the bonnet should lock. You then need to make sure your release cable is free and also spray under the front plate.
i find a lubricant spray such as a light chain grease is better for bonnet latches etc,as mentioned try to find the pivot points on the bonnet catch and free them up with the wd40 first
