Hi,

I'm looking at fitting a 1.5 stainless steel sink and I want to fit an RO unit in the same cupboard if possible. While I'm waiting for MFI to deliver me the right waste fitting kit for my sink (they've already got it wrong twice), I'm trying to wrok out the best way of doing it so as to minimise the space wasted (no pun intended).

There's a couple of T pieces which have some orientation to help direct the water flow I guess. This is what they look like:

The installation diagram I got says I'm supposed to connect it like this:

Appliance == Waste 1 == Waste 2 == P Trap and out

What I'd like to do is this:

Appliance == Waste 1 == P Trap and out == Waste 2

Assuming my explanation is OK, is this acceptable or do I run the risk of any backwash? I just need the P trap and outlet to run from between the sinks rather than at either end. This then gives me room to install my RO unit in the cupboard.

Are there any pictures/diagrams anywhere showing examples of how to plumb 1.5 or double sinks in?

Wow that's interesting! My main reason for fitting an RO unit is because I have a marine aquarium that I need as pure water as possible. There's loads of people using these units for the very same reason - I wonder how many know about this regulation? :eek:
