needed to relocate cu to allow new c/h boiler to fit in space occupied,by unit.

pulled main head fuse(no seal) relocated all fine, but unable to refit 100amp fuse unit in to the head .does it require a lot of force to reseat?

any danger of us blowing fuse just by refitting?

Cheers

MAKE SURE THE NEW CU IS OFF AND HAS NO LOAD

DO NOT TOUCH METAL INSIDE FUSE HOLDER

it should fit straight in. but b/c its 100A, it needs a good tight contact so might be hard to get in. but since youve had to ask, are you capable of removing the fuse safely, and more importantly, doing the wiring?

Pulling the fuse is a Criminal Offence, are you aware of that? Probably not.

Forcing the Fuse is VERY DANGEROUS and could prove fatal if you break the fuseholder and recieve a shock.

The fuseholders need to be installed the correct way round, they will not usually go in upside down due to offset pins. If you cannot fit the fuse in, then call out the REC that supplies your power.

Also, when you say you relocated the CU, I hope you did not move the supply head as well.

Thank you BAS, nice to see someone knows the difference between a motoring offence and a Criminal one :D
