I have a 100w dimmable led driver. Mains power in, 24v out. It's for an led strip around a bay window. Dimmable using a varilight vpro on the wall, next to main light dimmer.

I had originally planned to have it, attached to the wall above the pelmet, so out of sight. However, you can see it. Doesn't help its got some blue plastic covers.

Wifey has suggested I keep it in the ceiling void, so accessible by pulling up carpet and removing a floor board in the room above.

My gut says no, however, asking. Is this an acceptable location?

An LED driver can become warm if installed in a confined space. It may become hot if it develops a fault.

I would not put any power supply or driver under floor boards.

I thought so, thank you.
Next challenge is where to put it. No furniture nearby. Hmmmm
