10mm pipes

why would a builder just use 10mm microbore on one sink in the downstairs loo?the central heating is in microbore but the rest of the plumbing is normal 15mm

Only a guess because my crystal ball is a bit cloudy at the moment. :D

It may have been easier to feed it through, might be soft tube so he could feed it under floor without needing to get access for fittings, or he may have thought that a smaller pipe will need less wasted water through it, before the hot gets to it over a long run from the heat source.

Or maybe he ran out of 15mm late on a friday ;)
 
Ever turned a tap on in a small wash basin and got water all over your belly area? I would say your builder used 10mm pipe to avoid this problem.

No. At 6"4' with a 34" inside leg it is always more embarassing!
