Hi Guys

I ripped the bath out and need to put the mains water back on even though a new bath has not been fitted yet. I have bought 2 15mm brass? end caps (I tried the plastic ones which were crap). They have a little olive in them and a screw top.

Is this all I need? How does this end cap grip onto the pipe? Is that what the olive is going to do?

Cheers

I'd go for a couple of ball valves (the shut of valve with the screw in them) at least you can leave them on then, and if you have a leaky tap in the future can just isolate it there rather than turning off the main stop cock.
