

As suggested, solder reducers always best, unless it's plastic then either the proper internal reducers or the push fit elbows.
If you are going to use internal reducers, always use the ones with separate olives -

Snap reducers - terrible things, never use them

Of course, it's always best to use native 10mm valves if you can find ones you like. A lot of supplier say they are 10mm though but they are mostly 15mm and come with reducers. That TRV should be OK though as it is 10mm native and if just a basic TRV that you need, then absolutely no reason not to use it.
As far as the towel rad is concerned do you need straight through valves (supply pipes straight up out of the floor up into the rad) or angled valves like the TRV you linked to where the supply is out of the wall? You will get them it just needs a lot of searching.
