Hi

My local plummers merchant gave the Mrs. out shopping for me a 15 to 8mm reducing kit for the 15mm trv, as no 8mm trvs available. Of course he did not explain how it fits and I am afraid it aint obvious to me.

I have two brass turned parts and long one and a very short one. I have an 8mm olive and a 15mm olive.

has anyone got an exploded view of the correct assembly?

Hope so

You will find both turned parts have a chamfered surface around the hole, this is where the olive "seats" and gets crushed onto the microbore.
The larger brass part goes inside the base of the rad valve (use a little PTFE around part). The nut goes on the pipe, then the smaller brass part (chamfered surface up), then the olive.
Hand tighten then gently tighten with spanner.
How's that!

Save the 15mm olive for a rainy day.
