A second hand good condition exhaust would have cost you around £60.
Parts are plentiful especially exhausts due to people upgrading.
I sold a cat back stainless one for £100 a while ago.

Accepted!, and I did see these, but I already had the parts, so the cost was extra materials, welding rods and labour, @ £80/hr.
I'm not used to having someone else do this type of thing, or the costs, but as mentioned, I'm at the age where I've almost stopped lying under a car on a pile of bricks, so have to get used to it.
