1st Feb 25% tariff on Mexico + Canada, 10% on China

Just heard part of Trudeaus speech on the radio, quite powerful stuff, saying how Canada has stood by America in almost every conflict that ever was and were among the first to help after Hurrican Katrina and the recent California wildfires.

I'm shocked that you didn't realise one country has an outgoing, already unpopular leader and the other a brand new one.
I'm more shocked you didn't realise the new US leader, based his campaign on lowering prices for millions of Americans and is about to raise them.
Where have you been filly?

I'm not sure how you disseminated all that from my correcting Notch that prices in Canada will go up and not down, as they will in America.

Okay. I’ll revise that. Nutters that see no glory in dying. ;)
Is he a nutter though, or even pretending to be one? It seems more like bully boy tactics . That might work in premier league football management, but taking on the Chineese etc is different. The first victims of trumpf’s policy are America’s importers

I didn’t say they would go down.

I said they would make no difference….the importing business pays the tariff.

Of course after a few weeks Canada might suffer economic slowdown if America slows Canadian imports…..but you have to ask where that is and how quick could the supply chain be altered

Why are you so opposed to Starmer….is it because Corbyn failed?
Im defending him against what is a petty diversion by the right wing media, however as you have raised the issue, he didn't get much bang for his buck. Kieth is kieth, he's better off letting actions speak louder than words. A lot of what we import from the USA is post ukrane war energy so he has to be careful how he responds

No he has been placed in an impossible position.

- Do a deal with Trump, pi$$ off the EU
- Do a deal with the EU, pi$$ off trump

meanwhile he looks like a right plonker, pretending that acting lessons were essential work.
Do a deal with the EU - tell trump we're MUKGA. win-win. (y)
