Hello there.

Bit of a strange problem with a couple of radiators on the top floor of a small 2 bed house, ie: no heat. The water in the rest of the system is heating fine and the pump does work as the rest of the radiators in the house have no problems. I have bled the rads in question and only clear water comes out.

Any ideas what to try next please? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Chris

Good plan, thank you.

I've had a look at the TRVs and while the pin is not springy, it does move up and down. Presumably this may mean the actual valve is stuck shut and the pin is just floating with no influence on flow. Tme for the old friend WD40.

you shouldn't be able to move pin by hand.
put a pair of pliers on top and they should push down and pop straight back up.
you can tap the side of the brass valve that can free sometimes.

Thanks for the replies, I'll give this a go. It may be the TRVs need replacing but I guess that's not too big a job.

Cheers :)
