I suppose there may be an issue in terms of the size (and maybe number) of holes, but you have to get cables from the origin of the installation to each and every end-destination (lights, sockets etc.) whether those are (a) all final circuit cables from one CU, or (b) partially distribution circuits to multiple CUs, and partially final circuits from those CUs).
