2 Gang 2 Way Dimmer

Apologies if this subject is already covered. I have disconnected an existing double light switch and want to replace this with a dimmer. I have purchased a two gang two way dimmer and can't remember where the existing wires went on the old switch HELP! There are two red wires and one black wire???

redd one goes there, red one goes over there black one goes somewhere else.

or

black one goes there, red one goes here and red one goes some where else.

you will need a multi meter to find out what does what.
