Hi. I have a 2 way/2 gang push light switch (controlling two lights) I want to replace with a 2 gang push/dimmer switch. Simple thought I. I have coming from the wall 2 red and 1 black cable. The old switch is wired as per photo. My new dimmer double switch is the second photo. I’ve tried to replicate the layout of the old switch to the new but 1 dimmer works fine the other doesn’t. Can someone possibly please help me with the right wiring?

How did you wire the new switch?

Did you add the link from both commons of the new switch?

Which type of light is it controlling?

Thanks for responding. I tried to mimmic the old switch, L1-L1 L2-L2 plus connecting the ‘common’ L1 with one red wire. When you say did I link from both commons - all I did was link one L1-L1. Should I link 2?
I’m controlling two 17W LED dimmable bulbs

That’s possible - there’s a number of combinations - can you possibly advise which of those red wires you think should go where in my new switch?

I might have got left and right the wrong way round - if it matters.

Just fit the dimmer upside down.
