2 port valve heads - are different makes interchangeable?

One of my ACL Lifestyle 2 port valves has failed again after only a year. The auxiliary switch contacts are sticking which causes the pump to run all night. This is the same fault as the old valve had and I'm told it's a common problem with these valves. I'm wondering if the mounting for the removable head is standardized so that a different make would fit and (hopefully) be more reliable?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

The industry standard Honeywell is about the most reliable and to an extent the inside parts can be repaired.

Heads only are available for them.

Additionally there are some other named equivalents which are largely head swappable with the Honeywell body such as Tower and Corgi.
