Hi all, have two different probs perhaps related. In the loft conversion have 2 rads not working, although one is getting warm at the bottom, other not at all. Have managed previously to bleed one of them successfully but now that doesn't work. So neither loft rads can be bled now. The boiler is on ground floor and is a Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 combi (i.e. does heating and water). The gauge on boiler shows black bar pressure at less than 1 and psi at less than 1. Funnily enough there is another rad on 1st floor which cannot be turned down and this is a waste as this room is not in use. I wonder if these 2 issues are related. I would prefer help on loft rads more though as that's where I live lol
Having looked at other advice to similar problems I wanted to put bar pressure up to 1.5 bar but even though i located the 12 inch pipe thing which is involved, i am not sure how to do it?!! There is no lever. Just a valve thing, (i am bad with the jargon!) i.e something you would need a spanner to undo. Is this right? The issue is it's behind the pump so hard to get a spanner in there. On the other side of this 12 inch (ooh matron) pipe thing it's connected to the boiler of which has a sticker saying do not loosen valve or nitrogen can escape.

Any advice would make a novice and happy and warm chappy

Increase the pressure to 1.5 when cold also the fact that the bottom of the rad is hot says theres air in the radiator have these rads ever worked could be air locked
