2 Way Hallway Light

Hi

Im trying to replace an old style 2-way hallway switch with a new 2-way switch.

This should be easy and I'm only asking because its electrical.

The markings on the old switch are
L1
L2
Com

The Markings on the new switch are
L1
L2
L3

I have tried connecting as below
L1=L1
L2=L2
Com=L3

However the light fails to work (yes, I did put power back on)

Wire colouration (as original switch)
L1=Red (grey outer casing)
L2=Red
L3=Black


Any help would be great

L1 = Com
L2 = L1
L3 = L2

Connect as above and all should be OK.
