Does she not have 2 Keys (fobs)? If not she should have had a £200 discount. Normally the manual (emergency) key is either retained by a slidable catch in the electronic fob or the fob needs to be opened as you would to change the cell.
Actually to answer your question probably the safest, but could be long-winded way is for her to go to a Vauxhall dealership with her logbook, driving license and another form of identity that includes address. The VIN number should be on the 'logbook' - with the VIN number the dealership should be able to obtain the key number from Vauxhall's records.

Does seem to infer that the key should have a key 'blade'. does her car have a physical steering lock? If so the key for the steering lock should fit the door lock.
