Hi,

I was thinking about insulating between joists and then fixing standard 12.5mm ceiling board.

Thing is, as the ceiling height is 2.7m, I was wondering whether I should use 22mm Thermaline instead ?

Also, if I use Thermaline, would I need a vapour barrier ? (it's a pent roof, so fixing from below on warmside etc.).

Thanks.

A vapour barrier is only necessary when you fixing insulation to flat roofs or to ceiling where the lofts space above has poor or no ventilation. Both of these scenarios will cause interstitial condensation.
