The high system pressure will not stop the CH from working!

Is the filling loop closed?

Have you tried bleeding a few litres od water out of a rad?

make sure the fill loop is off

bleed a rad to lower the pressure to 1 bar

watch the pressure does it rise ?

turn off water run a hot tap does it start falling :?:

drat you type fast agile

Thanks all for a qyucik relies:

The loop is turned off, I have bleed the radiators and drained system to get pressure to 1 bar.
Running the hot water does bring pressure down by ,25 t0 .5 bar but when water is turned and boiler switches off. The pressure jumps back up to just under 3 bar so the gauge needle settles at start of the red mark.

PS. Kev: when i run the hot water and turn off the water supply. the pressure does not drop and no water comes out-off the hot tap (I assume means the hot water and CH water have not broken into each other in the boiler system.)

heat exchanger split easiest way is to isolate the cold inlet to the boiler and drain down. then un isolate the boiler and see if it starts to pressurise
