Hi,

I have a 28cdi which was getting a bit low on pressure for the first time this year. I placed the key in and turned to fill, when finished. I tried to pull the key out, it wouldn't come out...

I tried to give it some gentle persuasion to no success. I eventually decided on leaving it be incase I snapped the key off, due to it being a flimsy brittle little thing.

i've tried again a couple of times, but its not having any. I mean it usually come out eventually after a few times of trying. But this time it doesn't want to budge. It still turns and fills.... just wont come out!

I don't think its much to worry about, but I have only just recently qualified as gas safe, and fresh out of apprenticeship. So thought id ask the question to some of the experienced fitters for second opinion?

you should'v put ky jelly on it,, tut tut, :)

you newbies, it went in so it'll come out.

It should come out. They are very hard to get out sometimes.

There are two things which keep us in work and prevent diy'ers doing everything. One is our experience and knowledge which sometimes they can't do without, and the other is ability with our hands.

This is a classic example of the hand ability. To be a successful plumber you have to have greater than average hand strength and agility for situations like this. I am not having a go at you because you don't have it, you have to develop it from now on. You think this is hard? Don't try changing a pump then.

Point taken!

I got it out first try today, must have just been having an episode last night

Thanks for your words of wisdom though
