I have some new 'bike plastics, wrong colour. Can I just prep. them and respray 2k solid straight over without priming?. Is this good policy long term.
TIA :)

Are the parts already primed as some come that way? If not it would be advisable to apply a plastic adhesion primer which also stops paint cracking on flexible plastics. Available at any motor factors or paint stockists

They are already finished in lacquer but wrong colour.

In that case you wont need to prime them just give them good flatting with 800 grit wet &dry followed by flatting with 1200 grit then paint them Good luck jimcas
