2nd Coat

Still researching before I have a go at plastering so............ How do I know when I can apply the 2nd coat of plaster to the wall?

Will 20 mins be about right until it is cheesy enough to put another coat.

Also I have some plastering scrim tape which has lost its adhesiveness so how do you guys stick this over joints?

Sounds about right Bacho,, you'll know yourself, it'll have tightened up a bit, as you say, "cheesy". If the tape wont stick to the joint, just put a thin coat of multi finish onto the joint first, and bed the tape into that.
